Are you in your 40’s, 50’s, 60’s (or above) noticing your body doesn’t feel quite the way it did when you were younger?

Have you noticed any of the following?:

Have you noticed any of the following?

  • Random aches and pains…when you’ve never injured these areas?

  • Not having the same amount of strength to move heavy furniture, carry groceries, or get up off the floor like you used to?…or be able to do so without hurting yourself?

  • Pulling muscles or throwing your back out occasionally after what feels like almost no reason at all?

  • Do you like to play sports, but now find you can’t do so at the intensity you desire without hurting yourself?

  • Poor upper back posture and/or lower back pain that continues to get worse with age?

  • An overall sense of tightness, stiffness, and decrease in spryness in your body?

Do You Want Your Body to Move AND Feel Like It Did When You Were Younger?

Well, I have phenomenal news for you!…

It can!

Believe it or not, our muscles don’t know age.

Yes, we lose muscle mass starting at the age of 25 without a regular strength training program (just from a lack of usage.)

And THIS is the cause for all those situations I mentioned above (I will explain why below)…

But!!!

Because our muscles don’t really know age, we can get that lost muscle mass and springiness back at any age!

Long story short, you’re not feeling the way you are because “you’re just getting old.”

*I’ve literally heard this 1,000 times 😉

You’re feeling this way because you haven’t been giving your body what it needs to go through life with vigor…

It’s kind of like…

If you want to go through life with healthy supple skin, you need to protect it by hydrating and using sunscreen to the prevent skin deterioration.

Well, maintaining your muscle mass (aka the state of your body) is no different.

A properly designed strength and mobility program is what you use to protect your muscles (the best you can) from the aging process.

Keeping it healthy and functioning the way it’s supposed to :)

“I Haven’t Felt This Fit In 25 Years Thanks to Ashley."

“I am an athlete in my late 50’s who recently decided to return to playing softball.

I started pulling muscles in my legs and was having a lot of trouble with my shoulders. Due to this, I thought I was going to have to give up on my softball playing days.

But, through a recommendation, I found Ashley. Ashley built a strength and flexibility program specifically for me, and continues to progress it based on my feedback to her.

This has been a tremendous blessing.

I am now able to fully enjoy my softball playing without pulling any muscles.

I haven’t felt this fit in 25 years thanks to Ashley."

Why Does A Lack of Strength and Mobility Training Cause Tightness and Injuries?

Because, when we lose muscle mass…

The muscles that are supposed to be holding our body in proper alignment, aren’t doing their job as effectively anymore.

So, then our bones start shifting (changing our body’s alignment), and this makes other muscles tight (which changes the overall functionality of our body.)

This change in overall functionality, is why we can start pulling muscles at what seems like, “out of the blue.”

Note: And when we pair this with things like: a lot of sitting; working on a computer a lot; and/or not engaging in movements that enhance our mobility…this process happens even faster.

“My core strength has increased drastically!”

"I was never an athlete growing up. All my life I felt quite uncoordinated in my body. So, I felt very nervous meeting with a fitness expert.

But, I started working with Ashley when I was in my early 50’s.

At this time, I had pain in my calf muscle that several doctors were implying I would need surgery on.

But, after regularly performing a proper strength and stretching program with Ashley, the pain in my calf muscle went away!

And not only was Ashley super kind, and accepting of me as I was, she also helped me build confidence in my body.

I turned 60 last year, and throughout my journey with Ashley, my body’s resiliency and core strength has increased drastically…

I actually fell over my dog recently and sustained ZERO injuries.

Also, not only is my core strength more physically and aesthetically noticeable, I’ve also had activity instructors (shooting, golf, etc.) comment on how impressive my core strength is for someone my age!

My willingness to try new activities over the years has come from the confidence in my body that Ashley helped me create.

Ashley truly cares about helping people feel better physically, and feel more confident in their body."

About My Style of Training

My biggest priorities with strength training are that it needs to be:

-Safe

-Effective

-Efficient

In that order.

I am not about long tedious workouts.

Nor am I about workouts that make you think they’re effective because they’re super intense.

I am about safe workouts that make you feel confident in your body’s abilities.

AND

Teaching you how to do them in the most efficient way possible.

Your workouts are going to make you feel amazing!

You are going to feel better physically and have more energy after our sessions together :)

“At 68 years old, Ashley has brought back my confidence.”

“I am a 5’3’ woman who fluctuates between 240-245lbs.

I had a total knee replacement in 2005 and started working with Ashley for the first time when I was in my early 60’s (around 2015.)

Over our 8 months of working together, I got really strong, became more toned, and my posture and gait improved significantly-so I no longer worried about falling.

Then I got lazy…

And I stopped training with Ashley.

Within these 7 years of not strength training, I lost my strength and balance-and consequently, in the most recent 2 years, I have fallen 4 times.

These falls resulted in a cracked elbow, a right shoulder injury, an L1 compression fracture, and 3 bulging discs.

Now, after these falls, and at 68 years old, I decided to return to training with Ashley.

I have only been back with her for 2 months, and I’m no longer staggering when I stand up. I can get up effortlessly without holding on and using my arms to get myself up. And I no longer worry about falling.

I have already had outsiders comment on how much my gait and the tone of my muscles has improved.

At 68, Ashley has brought back my confidence. My confidence in knowing that I CAN do this.

And that my body can feel great and serve me well at any age-even despite my previous injuries.”
